SKELLIG ISLANDS

Skellig Michael (or Great Skellig) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the site of a well preserved monastic outpost of the Early Christian Period. About 12km southwest of Valentia Island, Co. Kerry these two spectacular pinnacles are just magnificent to see from any good viewing point on the Ring of Kerry.
Small Skellig is home to 27,000 pairs of gannets and this is the second largest gannet colony in the world. I would love you all to visit Skellig Michael but a it is not suitable for all but just to see them from the Skellig Ring, and other vantage points, is truly spectacular.
Contact us for your itinerary here to Ireland, that will include a view or visit to the Skelligs this year – maryogrady@eircom.net
