WALKING in IRELAND

IRELAND is a paradise for walkers and you will never be too far from a walk to suit you – whatever level of walking that you enjoy. Irish Travel Plans will allow time in your tailor-made itinerary of Ireland to spend a morning, day, or more, exploring some track or trail, inland or coastal to suit you.
WE have 43 National Waymarked Trails throughout 25 counties and in such areas as the Beara Peninsula in Cork/Kerry; the Dingle Peninsula in Kerry and the Western Way in north west Mayo. A walk through the Burren offers a landscape featuring Arctic, Mediterranean and Alpine flora or explore Clare Island (off the Mayo coast) and enjoy the panoramic views.
You can enjoy forest, looped or river and lakeside walks. Take to the hills or the mountains, inland or by the coast. Trek through wind-sculpted & rugged landscapes and at times you will feel far removed from civilization. Walk in the shadow of mountains or on the hill and mountain tops and you choose a distance, terrain and suitability for you and your group.
Enjoy a gourmet picnic in spectacular surroundings and then when ready return to your car/driver and continue to your guesthouse or luxury hotel. You may be tired, wind blown or sun burnt and perhaps with a few blisters (but bring good walking shoes)but you will be exhilarated after the day and with memories and pictures that will stay with you for a long time.
If some members of your group are not interested in walking for a day then we will arrange other activities/drives for them while you trek through the hills, valleys or mountains.
Contact Irish Travel Plans for your itinerary that will include one or many treks and trails.
