ODE TO AUTUMN

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness! (John Keats) and my goodness – is this poem the way to describe our countryside at the moment. The trees, brambles, bushes are laden with their fruit and the leaves are just turning to different shades of yellow, orange, green and red.
This is Culture Night but allow the rest of the weekend to explore and enjoy such delights. The haws are red on the bushes and close by are the orange hips hanging over the delicious blackeberries. Higher above the elder is weighed down with dark berries and the oak are laden with acorns. So make the best of this weekend and go out and explore and enjoy the sheer natural beauty of the countryside this weekend. With high temperatures warm your heart and soul, forget your problems and those of others “and still more, later flowers for the bees, Until they think warm days will never cease, For Summer has o’erbrimmed their clammy cells”.
